Interactive Technology in Education -conference
is the largest conference in Finland about information-
and communication technology in educational use.
The conference started in 1990 and it will be
carried out next spring for the 18th time. Conference
is organized in Hotel Aulanko in Hämeenlinna,
Finland.
The conference is preceded with versatile workshop-day
on 18th of April. The actual conference on19th-20th
of April consists of common lecture, forums and
studios. This year ITK provides two days full
program in English.
Signing in and fees
Signing in for the conference starts1st of February.

The student price is only for graduate students
(not post-graduated students). Workshop Fees can
be found later from the program.
The cancellation fee after signing in is half
of the participation fee. If the cancellation
is made after the 26 th of April the whole participation
fee will be charged.
The presentation types are:
1. Forums
(Short paper; total presentation time = 20 min
lecture + conversation)
2. Studios
Studios are venues where e.g. research projects
or institutions can present their work more thoroughly.
The theme of ITK´07 studios are future learning
and learning evironment. Studios are open throughout
the conference.
3. Workshop
Workshops usually concentrate on one or two themes.
The length of workshop is either a whole day or
half a day.
Call for Papers
Call for Papers is organized on 9.10.-13.11.2006.
Costs for lectures and organizers:
1. Forum lecturer (Short paper: total
presentation time 20 min + conversation)
The participant pays the
· Normal conference fee
· The Summer University will cover lunch
and coffee on the presentation day
2. Studio
The participant pays the
· Normal conference fee
No costs covered by the Summer University.
3. Workshop
· The organizer of the workshop takes care
of the planning and the marketing of the workshop.
· The Summer University markets the workshop
as a part of the whole conference marketing (conference
programme, www-pages).
· Expenses:
· The fee of the workshop place is 350
eur.
· The administrative fee is 25 eur per
workshop participant.
· If the workshop is canceled, the Summer
University will invoice 250 eur as management
expenses.
